The correct percentage on that is actually 300%. 66% is the amount of damage resistance, not the effective health increase, and I got the numbers mixed up. Sorry for the confusion. Also, the damage number at 9:10 is incorrect. You'd end up doing around the same amount of damage to a tanked Wrangled sentry, but the time required to do so would be a lot longer (assuming the same heavy DPS to engineer healing was in play). Regardless, too many other factors basically ruin the entire point of the added note. The clip was included to show how tanky a sentry gun can be without using the Wrangler, so I'm not sure why I even attempted to mention the effect a Wrangler would have on the situation. Again, apologies for the confusion. Math is literally my worst subject, dunno why I even try to make sense of it.

Map Knowledge is a huge part of playing TF2 and having a good idea of what to do in each stage of the map is an important requirement of every Engineer player. The Engineer's Blueprints - a map review series aimed at Engineer gameplay - will be the ultimate guide on what should be on your mind when traversing these popular maps! Please suggest in the comments section what official Valve map YOU would like to see covered in an upcoming installment of The Engineer's Blueprints! --------------------------------- F.A.Q: Are these reviews aimed at public server play (Casual Valve servers) or are they intended for Competitive games (Highlander/6v6)? All of these reviews will be made with mainly pub play in mind, but for the most part, the ideal building placements and strategies are borrowed heavily from existing competitive theories. In other words, they should generally apply to both Casual and Competitive modes. I thought you said you weren't going to talk about Sentry spots in a video in order to prevent people from over-using them? Most - if not all - of the Sentry spots I will talk about in this series will be the already very commonly used-n-abused placements that anyone with more than a couple hours in the game will be familiar with at this point. Don't worry, I'm keeping of few of my own personal favorites to myself. :) How are you selecting maps to review? I am going to try and do a different game-type every episode (Payload, King Of The Hill, Control Points, Attack Defense and Capture The Flag). The most popular official maps will be reviewed first, and priority may be given to a newly added official map or one that is hotly requested. Why are the episodes so long? Sorry. Some maps are big, and Engineer can be a complicated class. Payload maps will most likely be the longest and King Of The Hill maps will be the shortest. Either way, expect to take a seat and listen up when you decide to watch a few episodes of this series. Why didn't you talk about X sentry spot or Y strategy? Because these are intended to be basic map guides and I must have deemed it non-vital to general success on the map in question. Or I just didn't know about it. These map reviews are written by me, and I am not the all-knowing authority on anything. Take any un-mentioned strategies you have and use them; it doesn't matter if I deem your Sentry spot worthy or not. That call out is wrong. My team(s) always call it _______. The purpose of a call out is not for global recognition. It's for contextual reference. The names I give areas are so you don't get confused when I talk about them in this video, but outside of this review, you can use whatever call outs you want. As long as your teammates know what you're talking about, you could just call the tunnel "shoe", it doesn't matter. And lastly, why are you doing this? The Eureka Effect got a buff and I've been using it a lot in the recent weeks since it was changed. It now allows you to pick up more metal off the field than before, as well as gives you a level three teleporter for 250 metal... TOTAL. So, you've just started getting the hang of Engineer. You can build a sentry in all the best spots on all your favorite maps and you get a ton of 3pic killz. But what do you do when the enemy team has the upper hand and is closing in on your precious nest? And when are the best times for you to get "packin' up" to keep that Engie train a rollin'? Small Disclaimer: I'd like to also point out that Bad Robot worked on PASS Time with another small company called Escalation Studios. I have no idea how much work either developer put into the production of PASS Time, but it had always seemed like Bad Robot did more of the actual conceptual stuff while Escalation worked on the back end stuff like coding. (UPDATE: Valve has currently disabled custom animations in Valve servers due to people apparently "exploiting" with them. So right now, they only work on community servers that allow them. Hopefully, Valve can bring them back after removing the ability to use them to "exploit".) I really like them, so I'm showing them off while giving you guys a little bit of an insight to my thought processes as Engineer in pubs. This animation overhaul works perfectly on Valve servers. If you're having problems installing them, please don't ask me about it because I don't know how to troubleshoot those kinds of things at all. All I know is you put the file in your custom folder (maybe your skins folder if you have one). Other than that, I have no idea how these things actual work on a technical level, so I'm pretty much the last person who would have an answer for you if the simple cop+paste method doesn't work for you. I have my viewmodel FOV set to 54 to make the arms look best for the video, but normally I have it set to 90 (and completely off most of the time, if I'm being honest). Here's where I would put my Engineer contract... IF I HAD ONE. Instead of doing an actual contract, I decided to simulate what I would do if I had to complete the infamous Engineer contract bonus that requires you to get 5 kills with the same sentry gun. It's not as hard as you think; you just have to pick and choose the situations and loadouts that benefit your goal. UPDATE: The teleporter costs for the Eureka Effect have been significantly lowered, as well as changed a pretty big downside that made using it outside of teleporting around unwise. So now this rollout is much simpler than what you see in the video, but the basic concept is still there. The third installment in my series of late night adventures in public servers. This time we're exploring the popular payload map, Upward. Here's a compilation of kills and relatively interesting things I was able to pull off in the last month or so during games I played in TF2 Center lobbies, organized scrims and official matches. I guess I should apologize in advance for the music choice, I often forget that I have strange tastes and mashups are one of my favorite types of music, so I guess I'd consider "Best" to be "so me", so to speak.
