Most pets will undergo anesthesia several times in their life: desexing surgery, dental cleanings, biopsies, and surgeries, and yet vets never really talk about what you can expect at home as your pet recovers from this common and useful treatment. I often file calls from clients who are distraught about what is actually a perfectly normal anesthetic recovery and whenever it happens I wish I had the time to spend to go over what is normal and what isn't normal with them.
