When Architects Design Cars

Architects have always been an influential force in shaping the design world, and their impact can be felt in various industries, including automotive design. The cars designed by architects are a testament to their creativity and innovation, and they continue to inspire designers even today. The Dymaxion, for example, was a revolutionary car designed by Buckminster Fuller in the 1930s. It was unique in its aerodynamic shape and three-wheel configuration, which allowed it to achieve high speeds and maneuverability. Similarly, Enrico Nardi's Bisiluro Damolnar was a masterpiece of lightweight engineering, with its unique twin-hulled design that minimized drag and maximized speed. The Kar-a-sutra, on the other hand, was a futuristic concept car designed by Mario Bellini in the 1970s. It was inspired by the Kama Sutra and featured a modular interior that could be rearranged to suit different purposes. Zaha Hadid's Z car was a stunning example of avant-garde design, with its fluid lines and sculptural form. Finally, the Me.We Car, designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, was an eco-friendly car that was built with sustainability in mind. These cars are not just examples of great design but also reflect the unique vision and perspective of their architects. The fusion of architecture and automotive design has given birth to some of the most iconic and innovative cars in history, and it is a trend that is likely to continue in the future.

Why are planes painted white? How did a single olive save an airline hundreds of thousands of dollars? And why have air Canada been allowed to remove life jackets? In this video I will answer all the questions and more. We will investigate the economics of weight within air travel and why weight is one of the most scrutinised aspects of running a profitable airline. How seemingly small decisions can make huge impacts on the finances of airlines. And discover the weirdest ways airlines have attempted to reduce weight, and what this obsession over weight means for the future of air travel and ticket prices. How Aldi Gets Away With Stealing Other Brands

Have you ever wondered how Aldi get away with their fake brands? Aren’t things like this the reason Trademarks exist? Isn’t it illegal? Why don’t Aldi get sued and taken to court? In This video I answer all of these questions and explain how they use clever design to get around any legal issues that copying another brands intellectual property might cause. We also look at the way brands like the beer brand Brewdog are starting to fight back. Aldi are one of the fastest growing supermarket companies in the world, with more and more people shopping in their stores how much longer will they be able to get away with it? Especially with some many people swearing with blind taste test hauls that the Aldi fake product is indeed better than the original one they are copying. Thanks for watching. The Science Behind Marketing & Advertising

Advertisers and Marketeers have turned to Science & Technology To Gaurentee They Get Your Attention Without You Even Noticing! Using This widly used piece of software, Designers can see how to design their piece of marketing or advertisment to make it as impactfull as possible. In the world of marketing and advertising its dog eat dog it is the survival of the fittest. It’s a war for our attention and winning as many eyeballs as possible. Giant fonts, Flashing lights, moving signs. Advertisers, designers and marketers will do anything they can to get an advantage over their competitors. When I go to a client with a design, they can no longer give dreaded subjective feedback, Make this bigger, change this colour move that over there… as the designer has empirical evidence showing why this is there why it’s this big and why that colour. The client also in turn when talking to their superiors can say the same thing. This saves masses of time, stress and importantly money as you no longer need endless revisions and the decision on what the final design iteration should be has been made for you. La Ferrari A Design And Engineering Retrospective

From the sound it makes to its stunning design the LaFerrari is a modern classic and the ultimate Ferrari. It has true Hyper car pedigree that we will review in this video. The Ferrari F150 or more commonly known as the la Ferrari, is Ferraris 5th generation of bleeding edge hyper car, and the direct replacement for its predecessor, the Ferrari Enzo. Development of the car began in 2010 under the watch of Flavio Manzoni, Ferrari’s design director. Initially There were 9 concepts created for the F150 project. This car was to be up against stiff competition from the Porsche 918 and the McLaren P1. In this video I explore using 3D animations what makes this car so special, the design details, to the engineering of its hybrid drivetrain, that is a first for Ferrari and the dawn of a new electric era of hyper car design. #Ferrari #design #rhino3d #vray

Windscale Disaster - How The British Chernobyl Was Stopped

In this video we look at how one piece of good design saved a nation from NUCLEAR DISASTER As depicted on the hit HBO show Chernobyl, the nuclear disaster is one of the defining moments of the 20th century and leavs Pripyat abandoned to this day. However 30 years Earlier there was almost a similar disaster at the Windscale powerplant in the united kingdom that has gone down as one of the worlds worst nuclear indidents. The story begins in the middle of a nuclear arms race and the desperation of nations to aquire their own nuclear bomb. and the building of the UK's first nuclear power station The unique filters that john cockloft insisted were designed and installed at the top of the chimneys were estimated to have caught 95% of the radioactive material that was blown up the chimney. The 5% of nuclear that was released from wind scale was 1000 times lower than the total released by Chernobyl. That may not sound like a lot but For comparison the fukushima incident was just 18% of Chernobyl’s releases. If the filters had not been installed and 100% of the nuclear material had been discharged, great Britain would look like a very different place today, especially as an easterly wind was blowing at the time of the incident, transporting radioactive material across mainland England. entre swathes of land would have become an un-inhabitable nuclear wasteland. And caused an unknown number of fatalities. The fallout would have then spread on to mainland Europe also causing untold havoc and ruining Britain’s relationship with her neighbours. Cockrofts follies prevented a nuclear catastrophe, the incident was a wakeup call and bought home the true danger that working with nuclear material brings. The lessons learnt at wind scale have echoed through the world’s nuclear industry, they have influenced the design of countless power stations safety protocols and failsafe systems. helping to make nuclear power by far the safest electrical generation method in the world. And I thought it was stressful designing a logo with a tight deadline! Thanks for watching this episode of behind designs. The Paperclip Design, is it Perfect?

The Paperclips history is a mystery, but it it an example of a perfect design? it it the single greatest piece of design in human history? Whilst most people would argue, of course not, I set out to argue in its favour.
