Or one might even put a homemade engine onto a kart. Perhaps even a 3d printed gas engine onto a bike. One might also see that this description is spamming keywords.

okay I guess it's not really a 3d printed gas engine anymore but when does a hill become a mountain anyways Big thanks to PCBway for sponsoring today's video: https://www.pcbway.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bowen3dprinting/ Patreon: patreon.com/user?u=84920684

El Cheapo lathe lol Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bowen3dprinting/ Patreon: https://patreon.com/user?u=84920684&utm_medium=unknown&utm_source=join_link&utm_campaign=creatorshare_creator&utm_content=copyLink After many attempts at making a 3d printed gas engine, I decided the next step was to try and develop a proper metal engine. However, before I can get to that this cheap mini lathe is going to need some work. So in this video, I will be fixing this lathe so I can finally get started.

In this video, I explore how Variable Valve timing works and how It can be used on an miniature engine such as this. Homemade mini air engines like this can benefit from VVT since it can alter the behavior of the engine. I used 3d printing in order to design and make this air-powered engine. In this video, I demonstrate my mini 3d printed gas engine running. In the last video, I was able to make my 3d printed gas powered engine to run. But today, I decided to try and see how long my miniature 3d printed gas powered engine will run for. This video also helps explain how an engine works as well as how a carburetor works and how a cars sparking ignition system.

After many people really wanted to see the 3d printed combustion engine finally run, I decided to take action. In this video, I fix the previous mistakes of the engine, add a carburetor and then test the engine. Files: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1wnR04UQmxZq4GWXaFBBkNswchkaGefuF?usp=sharing

As per viewer request, I decided to start working on my VTEC engine once again. I worked to make the engine's VTEC kick in automatically similarly to how it would on a typical Honda engine. BTW, This video features me yapping a whole lot sorry FILES: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vjvGEtm5Oli0q7jCb2RnnHkYPpOYgkGJ/view?usp=sharing

Today, I demonstrate my VTEC engine that runs on air. This engine uses Honda's VTEC system to operate well in higher rpms. I show how VTEC works on this 3D printed engine in this video and demonstrate its benefits. ---------------------------------------------------------- Footage used (In no particular order): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NInqVZw2Gbw&ab_channel=%E5%AE%8B%E6%BE%A4%E7%9A%93 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGdYtUzLQaw&ab_channel=StasonLee https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p35zAE5xjKs&ab_channel=SpeedPleasure https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pK6JE0M0AY&ab_channel=civiccrx2006 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSnjGXSThO8&ab_channel=HondaSociety https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zHy8qk2T-4&ab_channel=MischiefCaughtOnTape https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qCCPdDcFDw&ab_channel=MTUDGE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQQIKvLwuuc&ab_channel=4BangersProduction https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tx3n2XXWjy0&ab_channel=Quecksilberr

After many requests to do something related to hydraulics and 3d printing, I decided to design and 3D print a shock absorber. In the video, I explain how a shock absorber works, why you need shock absorbers, what bad shock absorbers look like, perform tests with it and then see how it goes. In this video, I demonstrate my 3d printed vacuum pump I made from a 3d printed air compressor. the 3d printed vacuum pump works by drawing air out from a container and then releasing it elsewhere. I wanted to see what would happen if I drew the air out of a chamber with marshmallows, carbonated drinks and even a plugged syringe. Will it be strong enough to do anything? lets see! #3dprinting #engineering

In response to comments suggesting new methods to test my fluid coupler, I went and conducted a few experiments with it. This video also helps explain how a fluid coupler and somewhat of how a torque converter works. #3dprinting #engines #engineering #transmission

Files: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1KF00u7qUKaTI0XaQ2U0TaewtBtsG-btX?usp=sharing Today, I bring you my 3D printed fluid coupler. Out of curiosity, I wanted to know if I could 3D print a working fluid coupler that works on the same principals as one you would find in a car. The fluid coupler uses vegetable oil as its fluid much like how a transmission uses transmission fluid. I explain how a fluid coupler works in case you are curious yourself. #3dprinting #engineering

Today, I 3d printed a 3 speed manual transmission. The transmission was made for my 3d printed air engines and other purposes. This specific type of transmission is what's known as a 'dogbox' since it does not use any synchro meshes but rather dog gears instead. The intention of the design is to allow one to shift the transmission while under load, unlike a typical transmission. Race cars are often equipped with this type of transmission as they can handle much more power. Files: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/19x0BYH2tGqUZ0SU-cD34nyCY2AJ8IOes?usp=share_link Today, I 3d printed an air compressor. Lets see if it works. Compressors are useful as they can store potential energy as form of compressed air. This pressure can be later released as kinetic energy to run something like a 3d printed air engine for example. The idea is to create a 3d printed air compressor, the design is very similar to that from my 3d printed gas engine. The biggest differences include a piston with more o-rings to hold greater pressure and heads with check valves to work without the need of timing devices. #3dprinting #engines

Hello again! In this video I am showing myself designing a new piston and head to make high compression for the 3d printed gas engine project. Last video one of the major flaws was its lack of compression, so this video is focusing on getting compression so we can move on to the next step in this project, the fuel system. Once I have the project finished I am going to release the files for this project! #3dPrinting #Engines

Fascinated by 3D printed engines, I decided to try and make my own gas powered 3d printed engine. The project began with me designing a 2 stroke all the way back in March 2021 when I just recently dug it out and was set on trying to make an engine. #3d printing #engines

This time I finally created the second version of my pneumatic rotary engine, this time better than the last version! For 688 Bearings: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1MTnEAE3cenJ9ukkt9mKD6xY4injrbGqt?usp=sharing For 608 (skateboard) Bearings: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1qWZzNT1uhtICNmU-oaqtW1LQ2EwQpUla?usp=sharing I printed the engine with a resolution of 0.2mm, small parts have an infill of 50% - 75% and larger parts have an infill of 20% - 40%. Parts will not fit off the bed and will need to be sanded down and fitted. 0:00 Intro 1:02 Testing 3:17 Conclusion #3dPrinting #Airengine

I designed a Wankel rotary engine in sketchup to run on air. The engine is in an early stage and does not work as effectively as I wish it to. Soon I will be working on a second edition to iron out the issues as well as present it better!
