I genuinely hope you enjoy my video even if it's not a topic you're as passionate about as I am (or not passionate at all). I put my heart, soul, sweat and tears into this project for the past ~6.5 months. The production of this video started in September 2024 and I finished just 4 days before the date of publication which totals around 200 days of full time work, a bit over 1,000 hours of pure dedication to ensure this was my best creation to date in all aspects (graphic, editing, cinematography, pace, music sync). This video is not monetized by me. I knew it was not gonna be since the moment I started working on it. Why is that? Because I wanted to use the best music possible that fits with the video/story and makes it epic, and not use a cheap generic royalty-free dubstep. Bold move, I knew it was a questionable idea but if I wanted to make the best video I could, it wasn't gonna be with stock music. The original idea and script for this video dates back from 2018, around the era I left YouTube (that's another story) and I even started the project back then but never finished. So last year, I was fired from my job in August and while I was thinking what I wanted to do next, I saw that gap as the last opportunity to make the most legendary Materialisimo video I could make. I never thought it would get extended for this much time (original timeline was around 90 days) but as I kept working and editing I realized that I needed to dedicate some more serious hours if I wanted this 9 minute video to really feel premium and to have what it takes to stand the test of time, like my old montages from 2015-2016. Once I was at around 50% of the video, there just was no going back. I have zero regrets in doing this. I tested my limits on discipline, time organization, project management, creativity and perfectionism. For a moment I thought there was no way my editing skills were gonna be the same, but what do you know, they are now complemented by other abilities I have developed for the past 7 years. I now have a 7 month gap in my resume where I created this video with all my effort, and it was all worth it. I am writing this before the video publication, so my audience has not even seen it and I already feel completed by it because the experience of making it was such a life lesson I will never forget or take for granted. I am 26 years old now, I'm not a teenager anymore, it's crazy to think that at the time I didn't pay much attention to project management, I just had unlimited energy which I don't have anymore, and I have to be way more cautious of my health. One of the reasons it took so long to make was because I didn't destroy my body to speedrun this thing. If you liked my creation your feedback is more than appreciated.
