Welcome to our exploration of the abandoned Roosevelt Roads Naval Station in Ceiba, Puerto Rico. Once envisioned by Assistant Secretary of the Navy Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1919, this vast base was commissioned in 1943 during World War II. It expanded to become one of the largest naval facilities globally, covering over 8,600 acres. Roosevelt Roads played a pivotal role in Atlantic Fleet operations, offering anchorage, docking, repair facilities, and supplies. However, its proximity to Vieques Island, used for military exercises, led to significant controversy. In 1999, the tragic death of civilian security guard David Sanes Rodríguez during a bombing exercise on Vieques ignited widespread protests against the Navy's activities in the region. Facing mounting public pressure and political challenges, the U.S. Navy ceased operations on Vieques in 2003 and officially closed Roosevelt Roads on March 31, 2004. The closure marked the end of an era, leaving behind an expansive complex of vacant buildings, overgrown runways, and silent docks. Today, efforts are underway to repurpose parts of the former base. The José Aponte de la Torre Airport operates on a portion of the site, and there are plans to transform other areas into nature reserves and public recreational spaces. Join us as we delve into the history, controversies, and current state of this once-bustling naval hub, now standing as a testament to Puerto Rico's complex relationship with military presence and its ongoing journey toward reclamation and renewal. In probably my last video inside the radioactive Fukushima zone we enter an abandoned jewelry store that has been mostly intact for over 13 years. This store was owned by a master craftsman and a jack of all trades when suddenly without warning an earthquake struck, causing a tsunami to hit the local nuclear power plant. this in turn released deadly radiation into the air, rendering the town and everything in it useless. After seeing hundreds of others posting this place, it is my time to share... Join us as we venture into the abandoned Sears headquarters in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Once a bustling hub for the retail giant, this 2.4 million square-foot complex now stands as a silent monument to a bygone era. Constructed in 1992, the facility was vacated in 2022, marking the end of an era for Sears. In this video, we explore the deserted offices, echoing hallways, and vacant meeting rooms that once buzzed with activity. We delve into the history of Sears, Roebuck and Co., reflecting on its rise and eventual decline, culminating in the closure of this headquarters. As of August 2024, demolition crews have begun dismantling the complex, signaling a new chapter for the site

Today we are exploring a neighborhood I have been waiting for years to go abandoned. As grim as that sounds, it was inevitable, and there was nothing I could do but document the homes one last time. This was by far the most difficult neighborhood I have ever had to film due to reckless kids causing problems when the homes were first abandoned. It took me a total of 7 months to finally find the right time to film the homes. I spoke to almost every person who lived here and most were still the original owners. crazy to think about. Many of them literally got in their cars and left everything behind because they went into retirement homes or just didn't care. However the developers began clearing the homes out towards the beginning of summer to at least salvage a couple things. This was the first neighborhood I have actually fully filmed before shots for. I plan to do that with future videos. Marino Ct was first established in 1980 in what used to be a plot of farmland, in fact it was all farmland surrounding the area until a massive office complex was announced less than a year later. funny enough the times have changed again as you saw two offices get demolished as well as marino ct. The church also got offers to sell but refused surprisingly, but time will tell. This was definitely my favorite neighborhood due to the uniqueness of all the homes and the size. I have waited for the homes to be demolished out of respect for the developers and such. I have only made this video as a remembrance of a special neighborhood that once was @reichert.exploratory will soon be posting a video on the place as well, he filmed the home towards the end. Today we explore the last two homes left in a neighborhood that will be split by a highway coming through due to a stalled train. This video was made for documentation and historical purposes. The homes were part of the Jewel Tea executive neighborhood in Barrington, Illinois. It was one of the first ever "executive" neighborhoods built in America. For anybody upset, please note that all homes were wide open prior to the video being filmed and there were NO signs indicating "no trespassing". I have simply filmed this for remembrance of a street now gone forever. I have waited patiently for the homes to be demolished before posting anything to prevent vandalism.

I have waited until this mansion was either demolished or fixed up to post this. This footage was taken over 3 years ago. The home was abandoned after a legal issue that arose with the family. The doors were all open when I arrived and the home had signs of heavy decay and abandonment. i have blurred out any faces that might identify the former owner. Today we are exploring an elementary school that was vacated after a nuclear disaster and natural disaster I was joined today with @silent.hills.explorations

I have been following the events after 3/11 2011 since watching it live as a kid. I remember watching the helicopter following the tsunami go further into the mainland carrying debris, fires, and peoples lives. I remember hearing news about the worst nuclear disaster since Chernobyl, but not one person my age could relate. After telling people of my upcoming trip. It appears most people younger than 25 whom asked me while I was here think this was the result of the nuclear bombing of world war II. I couldn't believe at how little people knew of this event. After that, I decided to make this documentary. So many lives were affected, many took their own lives as a result of the evacuation. It was an incredible tragedy. I feel this suffering has been largely forgotten by the west. Can you imagine having to start from scratch? meanwhile knowing, for years, the things you held dear, aren't even destroyed, they're just rotting away behind a fence surrounded by guards. I don't think these people will ever get their items back. That being said, I decided to film the insides of these places to show the true level of devastation. The inside of a building here shows what people were doing just minutes after it all went wrong, not much has changed. It's a true time capsule to the events that unfolded. As the years go by, these buildings don't have much time left, and soon the physical representation of this disaster will be lost to time, in large forever forgotten. We may very well be the last to explore the Fukushima disaster zone, as security was nearly impossible to outsmart. After this footage comes out, I know that it probably will be impossible. Since the first explorers came here years ago, I have wanted to cover this event. And thanks to all of you, I was finally able to come here myself. First off, apologies for not posting sooner. I created this over the course of several years and I'm just sick and tired of everything and want to put it behind me. I had to cut a lot of things out of this. The last part should explain that. These are just my general findings. Think what you will of this and come to your own conclusion. Not much is left of the green river arsenal. many buildings were torn down or re used for private companies. the plant was shut down in 1945. I believe the place with vehicles was a truck repair shop before it was abandoned judging by the parts and vehicles there

Not much is known about these houses other than it was formerly an abandoned peacock farm, very cool none the less

The one property explored in this video was called the acme steel and coke plant. there is much more to be explored. maybe I will do a full video soon

We have been sitting on this information since 2017. I had originally wanted to upload this documentary this current season, but new things keep happening with the story, and lots of things haven't been filmed yet. Please be patient. I am working hard to get content out but its nearly impossible sometimes due to certain circumstances.

While riding my dirt bike out one day I came across a street that was unusually quiet. After talking to some residents, it became clear that the story of this road was something that had to get out. As of now FEMA still has yet to give the people of this street the compensation they need, and the houses, have yet to be demolished, all these years later. I got permission to explore this street by the residents of the town and church. If you come here, please be mindful that in every house, people once lived...

Here i will be showing you how I rebuilt this old 1985 Yamaha three wheeler, originally meant to work on a farm. It's mainly just a fun atv to ride.

I discovered this place out of the blue after taking a wrong turn. Needless to say, I was happily surprised.

As of now the building is half demolished. This was once called Gundersen St. Joseph's Hospital. now, a new one will take its place. two houses next to it have also been leveled for the new complex. I remember when this place was open. very surreal to see.

There have been multiple accidents at the plant due to the highly flammable materials being produced. It was a city, comprising of schools, hospitals, houses, ect. But today much has been demolished, and room is being made for many things. During the last clip a car came up to me blasting its horn. I hid in a ditch, then crossed a creek and walked miles through the woods just to find a way out. I nearly left my drone because I couldn't find it until the last second when i saw it was near the ditch I was about to jump into. Apparently the place is under CCTV watch, because there were signs. Plus the last compound I was in was in the middle of nowhere, and I know for a fact that there weren't any people or cars around, so I have no idea how someone knew I was there before they even reached the area. Do not go here, if you want my opinion on if you should. Although the sights here were incredible.

Production has started on The Disappearance of IL-22 Plot: A documentary highlighting real life events surrounding a previously unknown government project taking place in my area. I look into why the project suddenly was disbanded and why most of the work was destroyed; as well as the most mysterious aspect of all, the disappearance of an unincorporated town.

This stuff that we found can't go unnoticed. We are planning on starting a documentary on the place in the far future. It will go over what could have happened to the occupants and much more.

Take advantage of the past while you can

I had taken out the much larger rear pulley and swapped it with a smaller one. Instant Go Kart. The thing goes so much faster and is much more fun to ride. Sadly I crashed it on the first run and it broke. Once I fix it up we will be back in business :)

This house has been abandoned for quite some time. Not much is known about the persons living here but from what I can gather it seems that they were a married couple who were in their 80s when it was abandoned.

A friend of mine showed me a motorcycle he found maybe three years ago. This year I came back and the condition has worsoned to the point where the seat was completely rotted off. I knew that this bike wouldn't last another five years. I decided to put a new engine off because i had stripped the screws trying to fix the old one sadly. still a very good bike. More videos to come on it, such as putting a new gas tank and much more!

Reviewing The 80cc motor on a mountain bike after I built it so long ago.

While exploring a second day here a neighbor behind the houses told me the city MADE everyone leave a few years ago. The last house was bought out by a single mother and her child, she painted and restored the whole house (it was abandoned since 2010) and then right after they ordered her to leave. The stripped house and the tall house were owned by the same people. The original owner of the tall house built the stripped house himself. he now lives in Wisconsin.

As long as I can remember the area I drove past would always change, this time however, I decided to check out the last remaining parts before the inevitable. Almost All buildings pictured have been torn down or are being stripped as I post this

This lawn mower was saved from the ruins of an old mansion. I finally got it home and plan on turning it into a go kart. But that is for the next video

This pet food factory closed about 2017, I presume for safety hazards. It was called Evangers and was started in the 1930s and quickly became the epitome of animal food. eventually though, the food became less safe to eat and the building started to crumble. The owners also faced charges for stealing electricity from nearby wires and gas lines. Join me as I explore the last remaining historic buildings which will soon be demolished... This mall area has four districts of malls all around this massive plaza . Nearly every store there has closed off. I checked out two districts in the area, one that closed two years ago and one that closed eleven years ago. These places have not been seen by the exploring community from what I know. I always try to get videos of places that have been unseen by most.

I was staying for the night at a place near Lemont Illinois when I realized that I was actually pretty close to this place. It's known as Katherine's Crossing because of the street that it's on. Many people have seen things and heard things there, including me. I captured what sounded like knocking or tapping right above me on camera! I am still a skeptic but I cannot explain what happened that evening... Supposedly this place is going to be developed this spring so get there while you can.
